A binge free day

I really enjoyed my day off. Not having to watch Battlestar Galactica (BSG) had a significant impact on how I spent my day.  I imagined my day off would be spent reading Sherlock Holmes I just acquired a new book of his adventures. However this day off from binging happened to land on a Saturday that includes NFL playoffs. I spent my morning sleeping in and enjoying just being in bed. After finally getting out of bed at around 11:30 I went to Harris Teeter and made myself a delicious and healthy steak stir-fry. My Friends IU and TC, as they will be referred to for the rest of my journals, came over to watch the Ravens Patriots game. Thankfully, as a hardcore Steelers fan, the Ravens lost that game basically nullifying the postseason win that they had over the Steelers.

I had expected to spend my Non binge day doing anything except for watching TV. However because of the day it happened to fall upon I spent the entire day doing almost exactly what I did during each day of the most recent binge session.  I am ecstatic that I do not have to start another binge tomorrow as the NFL playoffs continue tomorrow. It seems that I have been binging on Football, and will continue to do so, even as I am free from binging.

I rarely thought about BSG at all during my day off. I believe this is entirely due to my focus on the NFL games that have been taking place. Even as I write this journal away from watching football I find my mind wandering towards BSG. I can’t help but ask myself who is a cylon and who is human. I think that is extremely fascinating that I was able to forget BSG while I was focused on something that I find much more important. Yet as soon as I stop focusing on a specific topic BSG begins to reappear in my mind. I have enjoyed watching BSG and will definitely watch the series to its end. I can only hope that the rest of the binge sessions are as enjoyable as this one has been.
