In the two TV shows that I have watched I identify with the two main characters. The name of the main character/protagonist in Orphan Black is a woman named Sarah Manning and in Doll House a woman named Echo/Caroline Farrell. I would say I identify with these two characters because they are heroes with human flaws and weaknesses. They are not characters/protagonist/hero like Super Man or a person like Jesus who are perfect and have no personal problems/issues. Since Sarah and Echo/Caroline have their own problems/issues they are easy to relate to. Choosing these two characters says a lot about me. I am a person who sides and supports what is right. And fights against the wrongs and tries to solve the problems of our world. However in today’s world fighting and solving problems can be very hard, especially when politics get involved (particularly in the US). In this country the two political parties The Republicans and Democrats do not want to work/cooperate together because both sides see the other party in the wrong and the enemy, and that they are completely right and need to win at all cost. I along with many other people in this country who are good Americans citizens are tired of it, and we need to put that crud aside so we solve the problems/issue in our country and around the world. The networks that created and make these two shows do a good job at marketing because they are marketing the ideas of heroes. Today many people want and need heroes whether they are real US Navy SEALS tracking down and killing terrorist or not real like a woman clone and a brainwashed woman fighting back against corrupt and powerful Corporations. The bottom line is if you want heroes these two shows have them.
